Small parts Vice?

What is everyone using for small parts holding? Like guards, spacers, pommels, etc. for filing or sanding?
I’m interested in home made stuff and/or purchased. I just need something to hold onto those small parts.
 
a Parrot vise is also handy if you need substantial holding power. The jaws are tall and thin. They are typically used by gunsmiths for the same reasons a knifemaker would use one- the jaws aren’t thick and in the way. A Parrot vise is not nearly as nimble as a Panavise, but is a more substantial vise if that’s what is called for.

And for an all around vise I highly recommend a rotating vise.
