Stainless Damascus

I just received some stainless Damascus from Chad Nichols that I won in a drawing. Beautiful stuff. Pretty sure I’ll be able to heat treat and etch it following the instructions from his website. I’ll just need to get some foil.
Anyone with experience with this kind of material have any advice for me? I haven’t worked with stainless or Damascus yet. The piece is large enough for one big knife or two smaller ones. I just don’t want to screw it up or waste it.

You could also get 4 hidden tang style knives from that piece, too! Nice little EDC or Puukko's! I had a piece of 2"x12" Magnacut and got 4 small blades from it
