My brother gave me a rib bone from a cow that he found while out hunting. I decided to split he rib and cut it up into useable sized pieces but they have a slight curve to them. Is it possible to cook the bone and then clamp it to straighten it out? Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks, Dan

You could probably grind off the side that was towards the lungs on two similar sized sections and get a pair of decent scales. In fact, I know where there is an old cow skeleton that I might scavenge a few ribs from to try that myself!
