I made this form 65G - spring steel like 5160. I made a clay diferential HT and etched it in ferric chloride. You can see the temper line clearly. It is full tang handle with 7 10mm holes and wraped with leather stripes. Hope you like it. It is a gift for a close friends birthday. Enjoy. :)
 
Thanks, sir. It is my first nicely developed hamon. Clay work for hamon is great thrill for the knifemaker. :)
Question: Does anybody adjust metal powder into the clay? I put some steel grinding dust form the bucket into the clay mixture.
