Trying Concealex for the first time and I have a question...

Most of the You Tube tutorials I have seen for using this type of material show cutting it with a bandsaw. I don't have one so I was wondering if it can be cut with tin snips without cracking. Or would it be better to mount my jig saw up to my router table and cut it that way? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Don

Kydex or Concealex, I use my utility knife and score it a few times (2 or 4 usually works) and snap it. Might have to use a pair of pliers to snap the small bits, at least I do, darn stuff is sharp.

Edit:

:snicker: It just dawned on me, kydex advice from the leather man, heh heh heh.

Tin snips work fine. They can be a bit tough on thicker stuff though. Also leave yourself more room than you think when cutting as they will twist a bit and mangle the edge, so you'll have to sand off a bit more than you would with a saw.
