Hi Guys, Thought I would introduce myself, I'm Steve Neustrom a new blade maker in the Bitterroot Valley of W. Montana. I'm new to making to knives but having a real good time learning and forums such as this have been a gold mine of info. for me. Thanks to all who share their craft so generously. First time I laid eyes on a damascus blade I was hooked! Been trying to be patient and stay with stock removal to refine my fit and finish skills but am so enamored with the pattern welded I had to dive in and have posted a pic of my first ladder pattern drop point. I was so thrilled that it turned out ok.... Have a fantasy of retiring and making blades every day but will have to settle for weekends for now. Thanks again for all the awesome info!!! Steve

Thanks Randy! You are too kind I hope I can look at that pic in 10 yrs and say what were you thinking to post a newby blade on the forum!
