Fischer Shop

These are pics of the Fischer shop located in central Fl.
1- This is the computer/reloading station, thats my $40 scanner/printer all by its self, I usually set my laptop up to the left of the Dillon and pops is on the right
2- This is where all the assembly happens, again my station on the left and pops on the right
3- Here we have the work horses of the shop, the HAAS TM-1 on the left and the good ole Gorton mill on the right. I think the TM-1 has a 10hp motor...
4- An extremely over sized pivot pin turning device in this pic, this LeBLOND lathe does some serious work with its 7 1/2hp motor, a bit much for pivot pins and thumbstuds... but its still wicked powerful and precise
5- This pic is the cutting and drilling center, the Grob is the biggest band saw I've seen in person, and the one japanese tool in the shop is the hitachi drill press, I know what a shame

2- The BIG BLU HAMMER and the BROWN & SHARPE surface grinder, I think its a 50lb. hammer
3- This is the hydraulic press and the Even Heat Kiln
4- Here's the dusty room showing both grinders, disc grinder, and buffer
5- and what's a grinding room without a belt mess!

Shop clock

Aside from the knife making goodies that, clock is the best, and I guess you've done a good job of hiding that handle cabinate from your wife?

Mark as far as I know she has never seen the cabinate. It came out of an old post office and is just about perfect for handle materials.

A statement I have heard Charlie make more than once that kind of goes along with the clock is "exactly which Christmas are you talking about?"

You buncha neat freaks! I took these a long time ago. There is a pretty deep layer of dirt/dust/crud on the floor now. No matter how often I sweep/blow it out it always looks like a dirt floor over that concrete.

10 Months into knifemaking

Here's a few pics of my ever evolving shop 10 months after the purchase of my first knifemaking specific tools, drill press and Dremel

The shop and tools are still a major WIP but it is comming along nicely :D

I do understand the use of the term "ADDICTION" to knifemaking as I've literally spent 98% of my disposible income on tools and materials. I'm hoping that in 20 years or so I'll have everything I want , LOL

You will never have everything you want.:D When, and if you do, its time to quit because you will have nothing to look forward to.

There is always just one more little thing that I always want.
