Hello all, I am Shane I currently reside in Clarksville,TN and have been trying my hand at making knives.I have built and or modified most of the tools in my shop to include a 2x72 belt grinder,and my gasser forge...I just wanted to drop in and wave at all of you! Oh on a side note I am a self taught leather worker for a few years now I have been doing gun leather, blade leather, and motor cycle seats.Thanks for having me, and thanks for the excellent resource!!!

this is my 6th knife its a 4" blade 8" OAL, the blade is L6 steel, the handle is home made duck canvas micarta pinned with 1/4" brass tubing...

Welcome from Nashville. Finally there is another maker near me.

I too have made 6 blades so far, but four of them were ruined due to my stupidity/bad judgement. We should get together sometime and swap ideas and such.
 
Broom, thanks for the welcome! I'm glad to hear we're neighbors I was in watertown Friday night for the drive in theater with the family traffic in Nashville makes Mee ill lol yea we should definitely swap some stories.
