I have used this style knife to fillet walleye, and quarter elk. I really like it. here is one i just finished.

Aron - that looks good, did you make the sheath also? GREAT photo! I'm not sure a knife like that really belongs in the "new to knifemaking" section.... more like the "collectors" forum. Congrats on a well done job.

thanks Ken. Yes i made the sheath as well. i feel like i'm still wet behind the ears. I don't know if i can hang with the big boys in the other forum.

I really like that one, I can see a lot of different uses for that knife.
