    Knife Maker Indentify

I need to call Ernie. :/ Right now I've been using my initials with an outline of the state of Tennessee. Screen/forum name is an interesting idea. In this era, we are all online anyway and it really does become one of our only unique IDs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Very cool. Your fixed blades are great work, do you have a way to cut the pieces for the dagger?

My first true Bowie in a few years.

Good idea. I actually have a box coming from them to be delivered today, but without any guard materials. I do have a steel guard that I got somewhere, don't recall where but I don't think it was from Boss.

My first true Bowie in a few years.

The first knife I ever made was a Bowie for my dad with lots of help from Jim Adams in his shop. That was either 4 or 5 years ago. Recently a friend asked me to make his 'wedding knife' to go with his wedding gun (nickel revolver with dark walnut grip). He's an out-west kinda guy, so I...

    Latest Friction Folder

Thanks. Not a Cnc, just a router bit chucked into my drill press. It cuts through the g10 really nicely.

Best way to get a mirror finish on my steel? And where to get higher grit numbered sa

Definitely start with 1080 or 1084 as mention. Just my $0.02. Even 5160 from a leaf spring shop, and they will normally GIVE you the drops from the scrap bucket.

    Epoxy Soaked wrapped handle...

So you don't worry about it getting onto the handle underneath? I guess I'm thinking of an ito style wrapped handle. I can see where cord wrap over a metal only tang would be less important to keep it off the tang.

    Epoxy Soaked wrapped handle...

This isn't a How-To... it's a How-Do-I... :) I hate the dirt that can get into my wrapped handle material, and it also can move if wrapped dry. When people the cord is epoxy soaked... does that mean you applied a thin epoxy after it was wrapped? or you literally soaked the cord and THEN...
