    I cannot believe I have never heard of safe face files before. Any recommendations on types or preferred suppliers? I would have asked the question many posts ago but i havent had time to keep up with the hot threads lately.

    Does anyone have a good resource for obtaining reconstituted stone for spacers? I am starting on the wives cake knife and I want to try something new. Assuming the material can be worked without special tools.

    Thanks for the compliments everyone. I was holding off on the makers mark for now, I use an etch-o-matic I am thinking of getting a stencil made up so I don't have to keep using that 50's typewriter anymore

    Glad ya like the spacer, I was unsure about it after the wife said it was the only thing she didnt like about the knife. Borrow all ya want, lord knows i've used more than a few design ideas.

    Ironwood question

    I am so glad I found this thread. I have been drying out 2 huge slabs of ironwood burl for 3 years now and i think it is finally dry enough to start using it for handles.

    Great knife. They may have been a pain in the ass but those pins really make the knife stand out.
