What's the best way to put a 3/4" hole in a 0.200" thick piece of XHP?

I don't even have a guess how many bits I wrecked drilling 1" holes in 3/16 titanium. Those 1" bits were not cheap , but I didn't have access to a mill , it worked but was slow.

    Whadda ya mean homemade!!!???

Same here , I could care less what they call what I make , I call em knives , cause that is what they are. When I take my wife's' homemade baked goods to work , people dive for them as they are homemade ( and darn good ) , so if someone compares the quality of my knives to my wife's baked goods...

    Nobody likes lockbacks?

I prefer a lockback to a liner lock , just personal preference.

    Screwed bolsters on slippies

Well said , for the look , I prefer the clean look of hidden pins , for function and being able to tune after the fact , I like the screw construction. Both are good....

Sounds like you do Heat as well as I do Cold.... I can handle 2 to 3 months of blazing heat to never have to shovel snow again... besides , the girls look better in bikini's than they do in parkas ;)

yeah , it's a dry heat , today though the humidity is showing 32 % , which is high for us... it keeps trying to rain here , but it is staying in the mountains and I suspect out at the lake.... next weekend is looking like 115 or so....and its a weekend I will be in the shop ( I hope ).
