    need a supplier

Doug, I don't think they answer their phones, let alone do small batches anymore. I tried for months to contact them and was a bit put off by more than a few reviews that google brought up. In the end my business went to Mark Vanderwest at http://www.leadingedgefab.com . Also, Aldo and Pete...

How to scribe a center line ???

Lol, Frank it is then. The sir and mister is just a hard learned behavior to break. Being of Hispanic descent, growing up in Texas and serving in the military really made that stick. :-)

Amazing work, I wish I'd gone that route rather than the traditional machine.

How to scribe a center line ???

You're welcome. Mr. Niro, I too use the same method and a height gauge is great for it. :D

How to scribe a center line ???

This works better than calipers or just about anything else. It has a sharp carbide bit that works well pre or post heat treat: http://www.grizzly.com/products/Dial-Height-Gauge-6-/G9618

    Wa handle dimensions?

With any material that you use, make sure you grind/cut it as cool as possible and don't use water to cool it. Paper micarta, Corian and the reconstituted stuff that MaseCraft sells is great for a reffule.

    purchasing new grinder questions

Camaro, I bought a GIB first and still ended up with a KMG. Unless you're great with your hands and have machining experience, your grinder will suffer greatly. After it was all said and done, even scavenging pieces, I ended paying more than I would have through a KMG. I suggest that you buy...

Great looking knife, Mr. Doyle. Your handles are nothing short of amazing. By the way, your knives remind me of a quote that my niece likes to throw around, "Trends come and go, but style is forever."

    Wa handle dimensions?

I purchased a few dozen kitchen knives back in '08 when the knife bug finally bit me hard; since then, I've sold or modified every western style knife into a Wa handle. Personally Wa handle knives feel better in the hand and to my eye, they look much more interesting. Of course, being that we...
