    I'm sure you will find out real quick but be careful attacking handle material with those 36 grit belts or you'll end up with really skinny handles in a hurry. Carey

    I don't recall ever seeing any kind of list. I think you just kind of learn about different woods as you progress in knifemaking. Stabilized wood doesn't need or really take a finish other than fine sanding and light buffing. The same is true of heavy, dense, and oily woods. You might get...
