My understanding is that Wayne is the go to guy to get variable speed on your grinder. You might seel you 1 1/2 motor to help offset the cost also.

I posted a 50lb trip hammer for sale for my brother on this site and two others. No one seems interested even at what I think is a great price. At one time these little giant hammers were hard to get. I know I sold my 100 lber the first day I let someone know it was for sale and that was 15...

    Bitcoin

I don't even like the idea of digital currency. Greenbacks and coin, you get caaught up in the digital currency market and you may loose all your currency period. Better to use what works and be done with it.

ID? Man made handle material, I don't know what this is.

You could buy the whole sheet and then you would get the raw edges. Ruffin Johnson bought several and I cut them up for him. He would have other knifemaers go in to help with it. I bought one sheet once and the had raw edges all around.

Difference in Rockwell on 440c and Cpm154

I called and talked to Carpenter this morning and they sent me to a supplier, but the supplier said they did not have it and had not heard of it. That is something when the maker has a supplier that does not know of the product. How can you be a supplier if your number is the one given by the...

Difference in Rockwell on 440c and Cpm154

For some of you guys or gals that know more about this stuff. I have been making knives for 25 years and this has always been in the back of my mind but never reached out and pursued it. If you heat treat 440c and have a 59 Rockwell and you heat treat CPM 154 and get a 59 rockwell why would...

    Aluminium Brass

I use it for bushings in folders. I make turn them in a lathe and they work great, K & G sells bushings made from it. I think that is what Tony Bose uses. I bought some from K&G to try and liked them so turned some out of 1/2 inch round stock. A lot to turn to 3/16 for a bushing but it was...

    Quench plate sizes?

Mine are 2" X 12" X12" and I have not had a problem with anything I heat treat. They are heavy enough that a vice isn't needed. I don't know how many people use a vice with aluminum plates. Most people I have seen have 1" thick.

    Following Her Directions

Remember in life with the wife there are only two ways to go. Either you are happy or you are right. Can't be both anytime anywhere for sure. Happy is always better because if she ain't happy nobody is happy. Right only works for you and she don't care about you being right at all. I am...
