I was very resistant to grinding the swedge on a knife until Murph wouldn't quit talking about it over and over and over and over... :) The ones I have done were after the main bevels were ground. I found that by getting the main bevels as close to perfectly matching as possible, I could treat...

Great knife and great idea on the double detent. I have been starting at a brass handled FF I made since last month and wondering if I could have done something similar, but never thought about 2 detents that align.

Looks really good Brad. I Looooove spalted maple! Question... What did you use to etch the blade and bring out the hamon?

The most ironic thing about this knife so far... is that I sent the guy a picture of the blade with a shaved-off patch of hair on it from my own arm. He texted me 2 days after he received the knife, to tell me he already cut himself with it.

I think it looks great! Nothing to add, other than to say it's time to start cuttin' and grindin' :)
