    Greetings From Dave Larsen...

Hello; a few of you probably know my name already but this is for those of you who've never heard of me. I'm not a frequent poster on Knife Dogs, but I've been hanging around here since the early days. :) I'm posting this introduction because I'm preparing to offer a couple of my knives for...

    Matchlock Axe/Pistol

Oh man Bruce, that last picture really pulls it all together. This thing is turning out to be beautiful! I'm really digging that dragon, you're making it look far better than I had envisioned - no surprise there. I'm really psyched about this project, though I'm kind of sorry to see its progress...

    Matchlock Axe/Pistol

Bruce, what is that right-angled sanding disc thing? That looks like a dentist tool, but if it's generally available that's something I might go looking for. Very nice tools you have too, have I mentioned that? :) The dragon is looking great!

    Matchlock Axe/Pistol

My happiest mornings are the ones that start out with an email that you've updated this WIP! Happy Morning Bruce! That's looking good. I'd be freaking out drilling and milling into that awesome piece of wood, but it has to be done. I'm glad it's you doing that and not me... The dragon is looking...

    Matchlock Axe/Pistol

Bruce, how the hell do you "fall into" a piece of burl like that!? That's major networking man, no doubt about it. It looks beautiful even in its rough state; can't wait to see how it finishes out with all the other stuff built into it. This is a wonderful thread, keeps me thinking what's next...

Roger, that is absolutely beautiful work. As I think back over the progress pics, I just love how you went about getting here. It's wonderful. You are truly an artist in wood. Thanks for sharing your efforts with us here.

Saw This And Immediately Thought of a Bruce Bump Creation So Displayed

Oh Man! Be careful what you wish for. One day my wife might say something mean and I'd be on my way! :) That'd show her wouldn't it!? I could learn to work like the big boys and she'd end up wishing I was back in my own shop. Ha! I would like nothing better than spending a few days under your...

Bruce I love it when I learn so much from watching your processes. I would never have thought of using Dykem inside the guard to help me keep the radius symmetrical, but it makes perfect sense to me. You're a genius in more ways than I can count. That guard is looking great!

Saw This And Immediately Thought of a Bruce Bump Creation So Displayed

I can see your point Bruce. Chances are the owner had that built for the Broadwell. I damn well know if I had one of your knives, that's how it'd be displayed. Maybe some day, when I win the lottery or get a BIG raise! :D

Saw This And Immediately Thought of a Bruce Bump Creation So Displayed

Bruce, I know you know craftsmen who could build a case along these lines for your work too. This just blows me away. I hope you think about something like this one day for one (or all) of yours... Not that any of the cases for yours have been a slouch by any means! This just really turns me on...

    Matchlock Axe/Pistol

Bruce it's amazing following your lines of thought/design. Most of this would never have occurred to me -- or at least I don't think so. Super glue is wonderful stuff, ain't it? I use it all the time now, following one of your earlier uses of it, holding scales in place for drilling. I love...
