    A tiny knife

    Well it's kinda small for me. I was at stormcrows shop today trying to bogart a bit of steel, he catches me and and chucks me a 1"X1"X1/4" chunk of 5160. Well i was up for the challenge. and a couple more i was working on for a group shot.

    Actually i had never seen a smatchet before. I can see some similarities though. I hope the pic can give a sense of scale.

    I call it the navi pocket knife stormcrow calls it the skillet. It has a 10" blade 3" wide. The handle is a re-purposed hickory handle. The tang is is 5" long and burned into the handle. A cotton cord with rawhide overlay wrap round out this blade.

    this is my interpretation of a dagger/fighting knife. I love it cause it looks like a giant tooth. handle is a couple of layers of jute with a bowers wrap. sealed in with some shellac and superglue. and this is a fighting skinner.
