yea, honestly i would like a step up in blade steel, so if someone could make one that would be awesome, but i was thinking and browning would most likely do the job much better, and possibly cheaper.

So, what would be the cost difference in having the blade fixed, or having a new highcarbon, stainless, or damascus blade put in?

yes there is, my dad gave it to me, so i would really like to have it repaired, and highcarbon steel is just a bonus :D.

yea, i broke it off in an oar :D, i like the idea of having the blade replaced, but i am not comfortable doing it myself.

ok, one thing i have noticed is that when the knife is folder, the part where the tip would be moved to actually sticks out some, so i think it may just be an impossible fix, you would have to weld some more metal on. So this knife might just get regarded as a garden knife now :(

ok, well thanks anyways, as i see it i would need the same tools for blacksmithing ( except the anvil and hammers) as i would need for stock removal.
