I switched about half a year ago and will never go back to safety razors. There is just nothing like a shave frome such a sharp hunk of sexy steel :D When I grow up, I want to be good enough to grind straight razors!

Thanks for all the advise guys I figured it might burn off if I got it too hot. I really like the idea where you scribe the marker line. I am just going to do both from now on just to be sure I don't lose my design. Thanks again guys! -Eric

So I'm done with my first knife design and I want to transfer the design onto a metal billet. I cut an outline of the design using some graphing paper and then used some clear packaging tape to sort of laminate it. The idea was to tape the design onto the billet and then use a sharpie marker...

Very nice build Billy. I too am in the process of finishing my no weld grinder. Your pics are making me think twice about painting it ;) I had a question about how you attached the pivot arm to the tool arm. I got my pivot arm from Tracy's website and the mounting hole is 3/4'' so I drilled...

I'm not by any means an expert, but I know beauty when I see it! Some of the talent on this site is just sinful and those pictures are proof of that! Great work. Buckeye is some of my favorite handle material. I also agree with Max about the structions.
