    Is this the natural progression?

Thanks for all the responses guys. I think I knew the answer before I posted, but was curious what others thought. I probably should have elaborated on the items I want to purchase. If I were purely interested in stock removal, it wouldn't be such an undertaking. Unfortunately, forging...

    Is this the natural progression?

I'm curious to see if this is the natural progression for other aspiring, part time and full time knifemakers out there. Like many, I grew up with a fascination/obsession with knives. Unfortunately, I wandered away during high school, presumably because it wasn't a cool hobby to have or...

    Hello Everyone from SC!

Hey BJ, I appreciate the offer. We're trying to get our house ready to sell, so I'm hoping the next one will have a garage and/or workshop type space that I can dedicate to knifemaking. Without having such a space right now, it doesn't make sense to try and buy tools just yet. Fortunately...

    Hello Everyone from SC!

Welcome to Knife Dogs. It looks like there are several of us here from the Upstate of SC. I too am both a newb to this forum and to knifemaking. I have a 10 month old daughter, so I understand all tOo well how a six week old limits your time (congratulations by the way!).

    Hello from Easley, SC

    Grind Ins & Shop Tours

I'm in the same situation and also happen to be in the Upstate of SC (Easley to be exact). Gerry Drew does a class at Tryon Arts & Crafts, seemingly every few months, on bladesmithing. I tried to register for the one coming up March 20 & 21, but it was already full.

    Hello from Easley, SC

Hello everyone. I'm a (fairly) regular over at BF and it looked like a lot of other members there are heading over here, so I thought I'd check it out. I found Bruce Bump's forum and I am hooked. As for myself, I'm an Engineer (Mechanical) by trade, going to school part time to get an MBA...
