    Stabilization at home??

I have been collecting some nice blocks of wood that I have kicking around the shop. And, I put the word out to some of my friends that are cabinetmakers, and several of them have come through with some pieces as well. So I have pretty good size pile that needs stabilization. I already have a...

2 oz Plumb Ball Peen Hammer

I have had this 2 oz Plumb ball peen hammer for most of my life, it was probably my grandfathers. Over the years I have looked at it and thought about making a better handle. Last week I wanted to peen a pin and dug it out. Yesterday I needed a diversion from the paying work, so I made a long...

    Snakewood finish

Traditional furniture finishes, like boiled linseed oil will give a nice satin sheen. Many thin coats applied will begin to build up. First Knife Handle Repair

Barely into knife making, and I get a call from a local guy asking if I could repair the handle on his grandfathers USN K-bar from WW2. I said "sure I can". He brings it to me and wants a new leather stacked handle, says he will make his own sheath. So, I have never done this type work before...

    2"x72" Belt Grinder

Yes Ken, you can use it over again until it stops being effective. Once it is used I store it in another container so it doesn't dilute the fresh stuff. It should work fine on a railroad spike.
