I'm making a 7" blade knife with k-bar type handle for a chief getting back from being a guard at a jail in afh. his third tour ,its 440c steel and i have never done SS before and need it heat treated to 57-58rc who do I send it to to get it back in a week or so Help please, i would like it cold...

so this was going to be a nice dagger BUTT it had its problems as you can see. This is a basket weave pattern ,butt it came apart on me when i was harding it so now its a wavy dagger LOL or a letter opener LOL i had a lot of time in this knife,two day just making the steel,and all the file work...

just sand to 120 grit ,acetone the whole knife,heat to 100 der. paint one layer dry with hair dryer,then another layer,heat with dryer then last cote ,dry with dryer then in oven at 350 der. for one hour let cool wala done.then sand off any spots you want to glue to .i tape the handle where all...
