    Yeah , I gonna finish some more eventually. Right now I am in the midst of redoing drywall in the shop , its slowly becoming functional again , and it will be nice to have 1200 sq ft of usable space finally ! :)

    Do makers use their own knives?

    Have had one of mine as an every day user for about a year now. It's got scuffs , nicks , dings , and looks loved. It is one of my fav fixed blades.

    Dad still has his 61 Bonneville that he bought new , all original still. 389 , 3 carbs , 425A code block , 390 hp , 4 speed.... funny thing is , I see plenty of fine examples of old hardware driven daily here.

    Thinking about a Benchtop Milling Machine

    I picked up a HF Mini Mill for $250 off of Craigslist.... it will do for slipjoints....for now. Just can't remove a lot of material per pass. So far I haven't bought much tooling , collets , some cutters , 3" vise , parallel set , made a 5"x10" 1 1/2" tooling plate , R8 arbor and precision...

    Very nicely done ! I started carrying one of the fixed blades I make daily about a year ago , I use it every chance I get. Great work !

    That is a sure turn off for me , as soon as a maker starts claiming how superior their work is to maker XYZ , I walk away. There aren't many that do it , but they are out there. If a maker is talking about his work , I will listen to everything he has to say. Another thing I have seen a maker...

    This is about it for today , will do final cleanup , logo and sharpen after I make the leather sheath: Now to find all my leather working tools....and a clean spot on the bench to work the leather. :eek:

    With the epoxy cured , it was time to trim of the excess bolts on the band saw and get to profiling. Sanded outside shaped and broke the corners with a 60 grit. Then 80 grit to rough in the contour : From here on out , all handle work is done in the knifemaker vise using 1" shop rolls...
