Here is my entry. It is a little EDC style knife I like to do. This one is made of 1084 steel with a full flat grind, black linen micarta scales, orange liners for contrast and visibility, and nickle silver pins. There is also a bit of mild jimping on the spine for better contact.

I live in NW Montana pretty close to the Canadian border. That is a medium sized grizzly, of which we have a pretty healthy population. The only way to bag one of these is if it is actively attacking you, which kind of makes it not worth it, lol. This time of year they (and the black bears) are...

I checked on of my game cams today (ignore the inaccurate time stamp) and was surprised to see this guy. It's scat shows it to be feeding heavily on gut piles, which is pretty normal for this time of year. I saw a black bear about this size, or a bit bigger, yesterday a few miles down the road.

Here, as promised, is the revised edition of my pocket axe. The specs are the same as the last one, with changes made to the handle and a non checkered hammer poll. Since it is the month of October I chose black and orange handle materials. Comments are welcome.

Ed, that is a good tutorial on True-Oil finishing, I have followed it with great success on several knives. Thanks for sharing. On handles I do not use True-Oil on, like Ironwood, or Blackwood for example, I will simply finish off to about 800 grit or so and apply a few coats of Johnsons Paste...

Thanks guys. Though I don't particularly enjoy working with Ironwood, the end result always seems worth the effort.

Here is a Utility/EDC knife I just finished up for a local customer. It features Ironwood scales, G-10 liners, nickle silver pins and lanyard tube. The differentially hardened high carbon steel blade measures 3 1/4" with an overall length of 8" and weighs in at 5oz.
