    Pocket Axe

Thanks Wayne. I think they are a neat little axe. I made this one as a companion to my little EDC knife that I like to use for everything from deer to turkey to fish. Make one up and get us some pics!

    Red and Black

Thank you. It is marked, but my etch did not go as deep as I would have liked because I used an old stencil which I discarded after that blade. I had a metal stamp made up but have not yet taken the time to build a proper holder for it. I am often concerned that a shallow etch such as this could...

    Red and Black

Here is a nifty midsized camp knife for general purpose camp use. It is made from 3/16 1084 high carbon steel which has been differentially hardened. A full flat grind makes this knife capable of chores ranging from light batoning to food prep. Included is a matching custom sheath from AK...

    Buffing and Chain Mail

I do not think the risk involved with sharp knives and buffers is worth it. I used to use a buffer in my jewelry shop when I first got started and soon realized the potential for damaged goods and personal injury that is involved with this machine. As George pointed out above there are other...

    Paragon vs even heat

I wrestled this in my mind for about a year or more before finally choosing the Evenheat oven. For me it came down to which oven I perceived would provide the most bang for my buck. I settled on the KO18 220v oven and it works amazingly well. As far as customer service goes, my oven did not work...

What's going on in your shop?

I will be sending this one out for heat treat tomorrow as it is way too big for me to handle. As of right now it measure 22 1/2" long (which will not change) and weighs 2 1/2 lbs. I am hoping to shave the weight down a bit more during the finishing stages. The balance is near perfect.
