Here is a nifty midsized camp knife for general purpose camp use. It is made from 3/16 1084 high carbon steel which has been differentially hardened. A full flat grind makes this knife capable of chores ranging from light batoning to food prep. Included is a matching custom sheath from AK Carrigan.

9 3/4 OAL
4 7/8 blade
Tapered Tang
Distal Taper
Stainless hardware
Black Linen Micarta scales
Red G-10 liners

Very nice, your going to mark that aren't you Jon ?

Thank you. It is marked, but my etch did not go as deep as I would have liked because I used an old stencil which I discarded after that blade. I had a metal stamp made up but have not yet taken the time to build a proper holder for it. I am often concerned that a shallow etch such as this could be sanded out and 're-purposed' by another at some point in the future.

I see your mark now looking back at the pic, yes that is a light mark, I've got a nice stamp holder I've been using over 20 yrs. now,
I can post pics. of it if your looking for ideas.

Jon, here are pics of my stamp jig,it's easy to make and the stamp sits in there with tight tolerances so you can hit the stamp till next sunday and it won't move, only go deeper. the picture with the heat treated blade in the fixture is of course only to show how it's clamped in.
I love this thing and have been using it well over 20 years and never had a stamping I didn't like.
