    Aged Hunter

Here it is, a simple cross draw style, which is also a new design for me. It ain't fancy, but it is certainly functional.

    Aged Hunter

Thanks gents. This is the first one I've done where the pics really don't do the knife justice. Now for a complimentary sheath. It's always the "complimentary" part of that equation that defies me, lol......

    Drop Point Hunter

Thank you gents for the kind words. I enjoyed making this one and am looking forward to taking what I learned on this one and applying to the next. I had a bit of an epiphany several weeks back, one of those Duh moments that has enabled me to have better control over the fit and finish. So much...

    Forged belt knives

Those look like a very handy little all around general purpose knife, something that could handle most routine jobs with ease. Nice job on the kydex sheaths as well.

    Labor Pains

Thank you Wayne for the kind words. The differential hardening simply refers to the manner in which the blade was hardened. In this case only the blade edge was fully hardened, leaving the spine "soft" in order to provide (in my opinion) the best balance between strength, flexibility and cutting...

    Checkers or chess?

Not a bad test run. I just bought a set of checkering tools and some literature related to the process. I hope to incorporate some on a few of my future knives. It seems like it will be a good winter time project........

    Clip-Point Hunter

Here is my latest knife, and the second one upon which I have been able to try out some recently acquired skills courtesy of Master Smith Ed Caffrey. Slooooowly but surely I think I may be getting somewhere, lol. Hand forged 1084 differentially hardened steel 8 5/8" OAL 4 1/4" blade with 4"...

    Black and orange sharp finger

I've always liked the sharpfinger design. Nice job. Whenever I get epoxy in front of the scales I dip a toothpick in acetone and patiently work it loose. The wood is soft enough to not mess up the finish if carefully done. Maybe some of the old Dogs can share a better solution........?
