    Change to Makers Mark

Sounds like a service that could be offered by someone who is handy with HTML... A site that allows makers to register their mark and their contact info.

For sale, 2x72" variable speed grinder !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Crap, crap, crap. This is killing me. You are pretty much just down the road from me and this is one heck of a deal that I'd love to jump on. Got a hunting trip the first week of October though and need to keep the reserve funds available for that. Wishing you a quick sale and also hoping it is...

    Counterbore help

Just a follow up. Finally got an answer back. Looks like the local company that they use at the shop would be in the ~$100 range for custom ground counterbores. Sorry.

    Blade for an existing folder?

Thanks. I've no issues sending a knife to someone to be used as a template. So, I wasn't too terribly far off in my own guestimates. I know it is a piece of chinese junk but it does fit well in my hand and is very comfortable to use. The body of the knife has a good heft to hit and the edges...

    Counterbore help

I know there are some out there. I'll have to check with Dad this weekend. Years ago when I was programming, setting up, and running a couple of CNC mills in a small shop, we had a job that has a bunch of small Inconel parts that needed to be made. We went through a hundred or so carbide end...

    Counterbore help

Not sure what machine you are using but, while it would involve an additional step... Drill your pilot with a drill then come back with a four-fluted solid carbide end mill. Use a stubby end mill to reduce/eliminate the chatter. Carbide should hold up better than HSS or cobalt. Drills -...

WESTERN BSA KNIFE '50s-60s HUNTING BOWIE USA

Lets try asking in this forum. :les: Probably overspent on this one but son is in scouts and working on his Eagle project this summer. Not sure if I'll make a gift out of it or not but I liked the style and design. Curious if anyone has any clue on what the steel might be? More details...

    Another NUB

Another NUB (new useless body) here. Used to be a CNC operator (programmed, setup, and ran two mills), worked avionics in the AF, and am now a tech writer. Loved working with metal but couldn't stand pushing the button on a new program, wondering if I had a number wrong or a decimal in the wrong...
