(MLL Knives) - AMAZON - Two woods handle knife

I like the short leather sheath, that is very cool. How did you get the steel so dark on the tactical knife? Was it etching or how did you do it?

    My sword plans.

This is the pattern for the chakmak and karda. The chakmak is traditionally used to sharpen the blade like a steel and as a flint striker. I couldn't find anything online but I'm told by an actual Gurkha that it is for skinning as well. It is an incredibly hard blade with no bevels. The karda is...

    My sword plans.

That makes it easier for everyone to see, I woke up in the middle of the night and lent out of my bed, picked up my scissors and modified the spine before going back to sleep. I made it more of a curve. http://imageshack.us/a/img809/2496/photomay16183229.jpg The I think the gentler curve makes...

    My sword plans.

I have decided that I'm going to go with a kukri (sirupate?), it's short enough that I can stick remove but I still would say its pretty close to being a sword so I will continue this thread instead of making a new one. I have a pattern made up. The design is not particularly traditional and I...

    new neck knife prototype

That makes more sense, they are great things to have but I wouldn't put one round my neck.

    new neck knife prototype

I can't think of a single situation where you would want a knife round your neck instead of strapped to your shoulder or something.

    new neck knife prototype

I might as well ask here, what exactly is the purpose of a neck knife?

    Combat knife design

This thread was hibernating a little. I'm going to be doing the biggest and smallest of the designs for myself and my brother, he is threatening me with spoiling movies so I have no choice. This is going to be started at the end of July and I'm doing some serious planning for the whole thing. I...

A non-matching pair of knives WIP.

http://imageshack.us/a/img16/6562/photomay10222239.jpg This is the sheath I am working around. I think I wil be using some oak floorboard for the handle. I won't be able to turn the antler into scales. I'll make something with a hidden tang at some point with it.

A non-matching pair of knives WIP.

I decided to man up and go near the angle grinder today. http://imageshack.us/a/img706/3054/photomay10163750.jpg I did that. It is from the same billet of steel, made to fit the half made sheath that I was given. I'll get a picture of it up in a minute. My battery died before I could get a...

Either I am getting hard to live with or.............

I don't like the way any thread on the other site gets turned into a five page slagging match, or that almostexclusivsly the other members I encountered there were teenage warrior proudly defending whichever production tactical folder they saw fit to buy against people who actually knew their stuff.

The rules change for turkeys, but I think we are hijacking a thread. Back to the knife.

    Latest Knife & a Turkey

I love the handle on that knife. The spacers are awesome. Are those reptiles wild? We don't have any here.

    Maker's Mark, Opinions?

This is the best I could come up with. http://imageshack.us/a/img839/4831/photomay05145735.jpg I like no.9 the best I think. They took ages, I have awful handwriting.

A non-matching pair of knives WIP.

A little update, I have come across the dreaded situation that we all fear... I have exhausted my funds. I am going hungry for a bit to get some heat treat money but food usually is top priority, I may continue buying a normal amount of food instead of heat treatment. All I can say is that it...

    Bitcoin

Being a teenager I know that the commonly held belief is that people who use bitcoins are not to be trusted due to its association to the onion router. I won't go onto any details on the people who use that but using bitcoins may associate you with these people. Not a good thing.

    British Bayonet Frog

It is a current issue frog, I got it from air cadets who where chucking out a bunch. It's made of canvas with some kind of black plastic interior. There are loads kicking about here, they sell for what I believe is around 5USD. It has no collector value whatsoever.

    British Bayonet Frog

http://imageshack.us/a/img577/4194/photoapr29221905.jpg I was given this. It seems to be of no monetary value and of no use as a sheath. I don't really know what to do with it. I don't want to throw it away. If anyone is willing to pay postage from Scotland I will give it away but I'm sure most...

    Plywood

I am naturally awful at everything practical so selling knives to people who aren't friends and family is off, I never thought of it that way though.
