    Beautiful Erik! Thank for the link to the WIP also. After you etch the blade are you useing green rouge on your wheel to buff? One part confused me (which isn't hard to do :o) In the WIP you etch your name BEFORE you etch the blade not after ??

    Erin that an awesome knife. Photo looks good. Photo tip.... Try defusing the lighting. The exposure will be longer but that really helps control the glare.

    Wade do you think that by increasing the copper content in the ferric it would then produce a heavier copper plate? The copper plate should give the blade some added rust resistent proporties. am I correct? How durable is the plate?

    Please post some good photos of the blade also to show the harmon. I belive the handle & guard/tsuba to be the typical WWII officers hardware. Looks to be a family blade though. Thats where any value lies. I am sure James will be on this thread shortly. He will be of great help.

    stabilized should certaily keep the germs from intering the wood better than no stabilized.
