Hallo,

i started working on my first integral (bolster), always wanted to make one :D

i started with a 15mm thick D2 bar and milled 5mm on each side leaving a 5mm blade and tang, i used a friends mill, it would have taken a year if i was doing it on my sherline mill :D

hallo, i finally had all the stuff i needed to continue working on this knife.

the handle matirial is a combination of carbon fiber cloth and stainless steel mesh that i made myself, ut turned out pretty cool :D

the knife is not finished yet, still needs to be sand to HT, and some final shaping and finishing.

after a long wait...

blade: D2 5mm at the tang
handle: carbon fiber and stainless mesh
overall length: 22cm

Wonderful and interesting WIP. I really like this knife. It has style and flair that makes it stand out.

i bought some carbon fiber cloth, it's not cheap stuff here, and got some stainless mesh, it's a very fine mesh used for filtration.
i then glued them togeter with epoxy layer by layer, i wanted to make some and sell it but i only have a limited amount of stainless mesh and buying it is just crazy expensive, when i did the math it turned out i would need to sell a pair of scales for about 100$ to make a profit :34:
