    small wheel attachment

Annoying as heck, isn't it? I try (I'm not always successful) to do as Tracy says, move fast, but also keep moving and keep the pressure light. I have a fixture that helps keep me square to the small wheel and I have to be careful or I'll hang up and create a really ugly divot.

Knife makers:what do YOU do with blades & knives that aren't quite "perfect"...?

I don't think I've made perfect knife yet either. Some of mine hang on a nail over one of my benches to remind me not to make the same mistakes.:34: Some of them get used for design testing, changing the profile to experiment with blade or handle shapes.:les: I used a couple of them to...

I feel your pain, brother. There are times when I fire up the grinder and dim the lights in the house. My problem is that my shop (garage) is on the same breaker with the front room of my house. Back when we used that for my son's room it was particularly bad because, of course, he would have...

According to the ads, Wally Hayes get his here: http://www.adamunlimited.com/ There seem to be plenty of other suppliers, but who am I to argue with Mr. Hayes! Murph, I see by his website that all his stock is tanned.

    handel texture??

I bought some grip tape from Home Depot and used that on the only knife I wrapped tsukamaki style. It's not a bad look and is definitely grippy, but it ain't same. YMMV.
