Thanks very much everyone. Bruce - It's funny at some point I remember thinking that I would get faster at making knives but the more I think I am getting better at knife making the longer it seems to take me. Especially guards and bolsters. Sean

Thanks very much. The problem I was having was in getting the slot for the guard perfectly square. My first attempt was using one of those clamps used to square up the shoulders for a guard on a hidden tang knife. I figured the part where the finger guard is didn't have to be that square...
