Official KnifeDogs Summer 2014 KITH PHOTO Thread!

Final shot of mine. Finished the sheath last night. Wanted to go full mountain man look with fringe and brass tacks, but I wasn't sure if the new owner would be in to that...so I kept it clean and tasteful with a sinew double whip stitch and 2 antique brass tacks holding down the belt loop...

Official KnifeDogs Summer 2014 KITH PHOTO Thread!

Guys here's my entry this year. Well, my secondary entry after a scales catastrophe with my first choice. This one was going to be made for me to carry with my Mountain Man muzzleloader gear. This is one of the Boss's blades, the Colorado River, dressed in some 40+ year old black walnut I...

Do any of you guys sell in local retail shops? How do you go about doing that?

Hey guys. Recently I branched out past local classifieds on Facebook to a couple of hunting gear pages that have members all over. I've had a couple of people contact me with interest in placing some knives for sale in their hunting gear shops. What is the best way to go about this with...

Kirinite vs. Other Acrylics (Acrylester). Your input please!

Thank you Rhino. That's what I wanted to hear. I loved using the Acrylester...the ladies went nuts for the color combos, Peacock especially...but after seeing a couple of my knives after several months, I can tell that it's either not wearing very well, or they are being overly harsh with...

Kirinite vs. Other Acrylics (Acrylester). Your input please!

Wow, sounds pretty tough then! Would you care to tell what material it is? I'm always on the lookout for new and interesting handle material.

Kirinite vs. Other Acrylics (Acrylester). Your input please!

Hey guys. I've been using Acrylester from www.logstolumberexotics.com with great success. I offer it only on kitchen knives and explain that it isn't for hard use nor is it likely to survive a fall onto a tile floor...that being said though, I've dropped onto my concrete floor while cutting it...

    First Two Sheaths...

Great job! From what I can tell, your edges look good...which is one thing most people neglect when making sheaths. Show some edge pictures next time! :) I like the dimpling effect you used, almost reminds me of raindrops.
