People who blatantly and fraudulently sell knives as hand made when they are blanks..

Thanks for all the responses across the spectrum. My biggest hang up with this person, is that #1 he lies. He claims that a $12.50 bread knife blank is made from ATS-34 when I know it's made from 440C. That is absolute misrepresentation of a product and frankly I think he should have legal...

Official Summer 2013 KnifeDogs Knife in the Hat Thread

Received Mr. Stockford's knife on Saturday before I went in to work, got to show it off to the guys in the shop. It's a nice little knife, fits the hand well and the curly maple gives it a rustic look that I like. I plan on attaching the sheath to my leather muzzleloader bag and using it as a...

I truly hope so. It's things like this that give the honest guys, who use blanks, a bad name.

Apparently this guy has also been featured in Garden & Gun magazine for his oyster knife...stating that "it took him years to perfect the knife". The blade he uses for that can be found on Tracy's site...it's identical. Scratch that, it's not the same as on Tracy's site. I have found it on...

People who blatantly and fraudulently sell knives as hand made when they are blanks..

Ok, first off, I sell knives that I make from blade blanks. I'm up front with my customers concerning this so there are no questions about where I procure my blades. As a maker of knives using premade blades, I can usually, quickly, pick out knives that were made from blanks because I see...

Great looking set Mark! I've been making my sheaths a bit tighter lately, was given that advice by another member. He said make sure they're tight, almost too tight...because you want that sheath to still have good retention years down the road. Makes sense...but I sometimes second guess...

    Wound Seal

Super glue works if you can get it to stop oozing blood long enough for the glue to set.

Would anyone be willing to share how they assemble these multipiece knife scales?

A brief guess is that it's sawn and the pieces glued together as a block. The block is then trimmed, then cut in half. I love pictures though and would like to see some step by step processes.

Would anyone be willing to share how they assemble these multipiece knife scales?

I've seen many variations on this type of layout and I really like them. Could a link be posted to a tutorial on how to do these types of layouts?
