+1 on this...I have had mine for 2 years and it gets used on every knife. I also now have a GIB kit built but the Coote still gets used.

Definitely go with this idea...I am in the granite business and was an installer for 18 years. Diamond core bits from HD and probably HF as well are garbage and won't get you will drill a hole for you for a small fee.

I too would be interested in plans. My shop is small and the compct profile of this hammer is very appealing.

Thank you James...I hope my customer likes it. His ideas pushed me a little out of my comfort zone but that was a very good thing. This will not be my last hidden tang knife.

I have often considered doing something similar Franklin. I like the look of leather but the convenience of Kydex. I just may have to try this...the main thing I dislike about using leather is making the holes for sewing but I have recently started drilling the holes and that has made it...
