I've tried several searches since yesterday and they all come back with no results. I've searched by keyword and my own username. If you're already working on this you can delete this post.

    Computer trouble

Ahh, the good old days of tech support. I once worked for one of the big 5 accounting firms. We had one partner that was notoriously rude. He called one morning screaming that his computer was dead. I ran up to his office and he's still carrying on " you IT guys suck, you give us sh***y...

Great deal if I can find parts

I just put in my order. I pulled one belt off to measure the thickness, mine were only 0.0625, his were 0.09 or 0.125. I guess the previous owner got his money's worth out of them. dancing dog

Great deal if I can find parts

Thanks to everyone for the help, I really appreciate it. Sulphur Grove custom makes the tires so I'm going to call him to make sure I get the measurements right. I'll cut one tire off so I can get the height and width.2thumbs

Great deal if I can find parts

I was passing a garage sale today and saw a Grizzly band saw. Since it was starting to rain and they were closing up I figured "what the heck". $20 later I'm the proud new owner. He did tell me it needed new tires, which I now know are hard to find. Grizzly doesn't list it, Model # G1015...

    Sander/grinder combo for beginners

I appreciate all of the input. It's especially good to know that others have started with small units like the Sears one and have turned out good work.

Very nice design! I think the curve and size of the handle will make chopping easier on the knuckles.

    Sander/grinder combo for beginners

I'll have to see if any stores have these in stock and take a look. I thought the grinding wheel would be good for roughing in blades, but after seeing the videos it looks like everyone uses the belts. The Craftsman also seems to have a better selection of belts.

    Sander/grinder combo for beginners

I'd like your thoughts on this unit I found at Sears. I realize it would have limitations, but I'm just starting and I don't want to layout a lot of money on specialty tools. http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00980778000P?prdNo=12&blockNo=12&blockType=

    Teak as handle material?

That looks really great! I saw some online but I wasn't sure it could be used for handles. I have some old carbon steel kitchen knives that would probably look great with new handles.2thumbs
