36-80 depending on size of knife, 180, 320, 600 then hand sand 600G to get the scratch pattern i like. Unless I'm making Damascus then up to 800. Rougher stuff I Forge 180-240 and then Surface conditioning belt. PS I do a lot of my sanding on a disk grinder to help flatten grind.

Why not use some custom Micarta make your own and set it off from the crowd? Micarta is just about Bomb proof!

Can anyone give me an idea of what size needle I should use for my Singer 29-4. Obviously leather, leather point needle. I'm just not sure of actual size. I've seen things listed anywhere from 29-4 110 to as large as 29-4 160. Any help would be appreciated.

Don't sweat it. I still get that. I just mark opposite side of the blade with a Sharpie the lenth of the uneven portion and work it on the belt there lightly (bare thumbs so you dont over heat blade), then flip the blade to the other bevel mark the same area on the side you've already worked do...
