    How Many Knives at Once...

I tried doing five at a time once. It's not for me. I might do two at once. But never that many again. Three of those are still sitting in a drawer to be finished.

    I bought a laser engraver/cutter

Ortur had a LM2 10 watt on sale for 329.00 which I just bought. 4 dollars more than the Personalizer Plus etcher. Down the rabbit hole I go. Should be here towards the end of next week.

What's going on in your shop?

Bocote Chef knife almost done. Just needs to be sharpened and logo applied. This is my first convex grind blade. It turned out pretty good. Now on to a couple of fillets and a small hunter for my step-son

    2 100K Atlas Burners

That's one hell of an offer Chris. But yep cash is king at the moment.

    2 100K Atlas Burners

Thanks for the offer. I'll see how it goes as I would prefer cash. But a knife is always cool!

    2 100K Atlas Burners

I have two old style 100K Atlas Burners for sale. I bought these originally to build a two burner forge. But I've decided to stick with stock removal. And I have an Atlas Knife forge for small work. I'm asking $50.00 for both. Thanks

    I bought a laser engraver/cutter

That's my thought as well. I couldn't justify the price for just marking my name on my knives. But as you say, it's a very versatile tool. You can etch and cut many different items with it.

Chris and Chris thanks for the feedback. I may have to wait a bit until I have the funds. But I'm pretty sure this is the way to go.

    I bought a laser engraver/cutter

Thanks opaul. That's certainly less expensive. And yes for now just etching my makers mark might be the least expensive way to go. I do like the looks of these laser machines though. And as it turns out the re-furbished unit I was looking at was European 220. I can't use that. Though I'm sure...

    I bought a laser engraver/cutter

A bump to this thread. My home built etching machine just died. I had put in a new transformer and I ended up with smoke instead of an etch. Boss Dogs etching kit is over $400 and it looks like I can get a factory Pre-owned Ortur for the same. Sounds like a no brainer. However a few questions...

    Integral grinding fixture for KMG.

I understand now. Does the small wheel holder that Boss Dog sells not work with the KMG? I would think at worst you would need to buy the size arm that works with the KMG and then attach the small wheel holder to that. Then just get the wheel sizes you need. Not a cheap option at a bit over $200...

Do you mean internal grinding? I've never heard of Interval grinding before

Trying to get back at it part Duex!

I can understand your frustration. Haven't broken any ribs (yet) but other aches and pains slow me down. Take the time to let them heal properly. Hopefully you will get some guidance from your doctor on how much work, if any, that you can do while they heal.

WIP Survival Knife for My Son-In-Law

Without a mill I'd say you've done well on those saw teeth. Though I do think Chris Railey was headed in the right direction with his comment.

Thanks for the info. Using an angle grinder like that is an interested method. I'll have to give it a try
