A duo of MCs in 440c and green/black micarta. First duo of these that I've handrubbed, made out of 440c, first clip point MC, and used micarta for handles.
I buy general supplies and specialty items from USAKnifemaker, but not belts, steel, pin stock, etc. My steel comes from NJ steel baron and abrasives from TruGrit, because it is cheaper to buy these things in bulk. That shouldn't be offensive.
Anyone have experience with AEB-L in a larger knife, such as a camp knife? The charts show that it has high toughness, if I remember right, but was wondering what people's experiences with it were.
Alrighty, I think I want to start making a few of my sheaths out of kydex. Been looking through the old threads but still have a few questions. I'm thinking on using .60 and .93 material and chucking up a die set in my drill press. So if I want my eyelets 1/4in. wide, how long do they have to be...
And the most recent one I finished, a custom order frame handle bowie. A ton of work and a ton learned (I hope)! 440c blade, 416ss fittings and Caribou with wood spacers.
A progression of spring back folders. Still not completely happy with them, but they are getting there. Learned some stuff from our own J. Wilson's youtube channel which will help on the next ones.
