    Competition chopper geometry?

I would definitely go 1/4" thick material, Full flat grind, convex edge and I would put my lanyard hole forward not at the back of the tang. Not sure what steel you are going to use but cpm3v is a nice choice and Peter's did an awesome job on the one I used on Knife or Death. I used 3/16" stock...

    What size fuller??

Kev, This was ground with a 2"wheel. I think I would be nice to go a touch smaller but If I remeber right my 1" and 1.5" wheel may not stick out past my small wheel holder is the reason I did 2". Just something to keep in mind.

    Chopper question.

CPM 3V heat treated by Peter's heat treating. That is what I used on Knife or Death and I beat the crap out of that blade.

    Acid wash stainless steel

Soak it in ferric chloride. It takes some time but will etch it. If you try it on an un hardened piece it won't hardly do anything but hardened steel will darken.

What's going on in your shop?

Spent some time trying to teach my self to forge, I have not done all that much and decided I really need to work on just basic skills so made a few blacksmith mini knives, hooks and a fire poker. I enjoyed making the hooks and fire poker better then the knives I felt I struggled to get the...
