    Newest knife...a Randall Mod. 14

Yes, a model 14 with the Full brass guard and a dark green micarta handle. I've no idea when it was actually built, as I got it from a dealer and not the factory, where there is a 58 month waiting list. 0.o The blade is made from the tool steel, so I keep it oiled, as I carry it about 75%...

It is known as kalis in the southern Philippines.... which, I believe, contributes to the derivation of the term "kali" to describe filipino blade combat arts. I hope this was helpful. You have a nice piece there. The filipinos are actually VERY good forgers and quite adept at the...

While many assume the traditional form of the kris is the fully wavy blade, the half-waved half-straight, as well as the fully straight blades, are equally if not more common, as straight blades were more practical in combat. Moro kris blades generally range in size from 18 to 26 inches (46 to...

It's a Kris sword. Used by Indonesians and Philipinos, and ANY other of the populace of the southeast asian archipelago that were indigenous to the smaller islands surrounding the mainlands. The interesting thing about the blade is its shape and use. The kris blade is defined as one that is...

    question about oiling the blade...

Hey guys, I have a pretty new Randall Model 14 and am wondering what i should use to keep the blade oiled and protected. It's the Tool Steel, not the stainless. I am inclined to use the Militec-1 I always use on my firearms, as it bonds to the metal and stays even when it feels dry...
