Cliff,

This scrim was indeed scratched in but I was hoping for a primitive look with it. Especially with a harder materials like bone you'ld probably get a much more satifactory result going with the stippling method as opposed to scratches.

That is what I was talking about the difference between scratching the scrimshaw and the stuff I done with a dremmel. The dremmel just doesn't look right too me, it creates an image but it doesn't look like real scrimshaw!
