I am looking for a new supplier for my 1x30 belts. Specifically I am looking for metal cutting belts. Can you suggest a supplier and what type to get? I normally use ceramic ones but open to suggestions.
Thanks

These guys are a good a choice as any, look over the whole page for different options.
I've never had such a small machine but ceramics like a fair amount of speed and pressure or else they're not doing their job. You might wanna split hairs on price and performance and stick to AO belts.

On a side note...
I've dealt with these guys for all my other sanding needs for over a decade. They have your belt size but all in AO. Look into the import (German) paper and shop rolls, they cut like the dickens . Price and shipping can't be beat.

Good luck.

AO will work on steel. They don't last as long as ceramic or Zirc belts. *ceramic doesn't do well without significant pressure. They will glaze over and stop cutting. They need pressure to fracture the ceramic grit to expose fresh cutting edges. The problem is that it's nearly impossible to use much pressure on a 1x30.

AO and Zirc are fine for steel.

you probably already know this, but if your ceramics glaze over you can use some sacrificial steel. Hold it hard into the belt to fracture the glazed grit.
