2 x 72 belts?

So I have seen a lot of talk about just types of belts.

I have been saving for a KMG. And realized that I have no idea what any of the belts people talk about for the 2 x 72 grinders.

What do I need to know about the different types of belts? ( I have only used the Ceramic, AO, and Gaitor belts on my 2 x42 ).

I'd stick with what's already working for you grit wise until you get a better sense of what you think you'll need. Everyone has their favorites....I'm stuck on Trizac belts in higher grits and ceramics in the lower grits.

What kind of ceramics do you like?

And what can you tell me about the weights?

I've been using the VSM belts in 110 grit to clean up after 60 grit blue zircs which I think give great milage but I may try the lower grit ceramics after this box is empty. After that it's all Trizacs up to 4000 grit if I'm mirror polishing afterwards. sadly by the time you get yourself set with a belt program that works for you, you'll have spent a good amount of cash. lol.....like most of us.
