2011 KD Members Choice Awards - Best New Maker

I thought I'd try to post a picture of my first knife. All criticism constructive and otherwise are welcome.

I've been making knives now for 3 month's and trying to learn the stock removal method. Marvin Winn gets all the credit for anything that I may have done correctly lol...he's a great mentor and friend. Over the last couple of month's he and his wife Cindy have been steadily entertained by my outbursts, fits, tantrums, and the fact that I continue to grind my fingers regularly. I absolutely love grinding steel, and see myself making a great many more knives...

Remember all...this is my first ever so be gentle lol.

This is the one i am the most happy with this year, im not real sure it worthy of this thread but you never know if you dont try

1095 steel differentially heat treated , 1/8" OAL 7.5", convex grind
Nickel silver bolsters, sheep horn, and HHH cocobola burl

I started making knives in July, made about 30 this year

this one shows the hamon better
