I built this for my cousin. I'm not sure who had the video on doing a 'plunge line' (I think it's called) with the chain saw file but I think it works for me. I'm going to try a hidden tang next.kirks.jpg

A little tip that may help you on your next one....
Try rounding the handle off.It will not only look
better it will feel better in the hand.You could even do it
on that one,without a lot of sanding.
It may just be the way the pic looks.
Now go make another:3:

What’s the steel, what’s the handle material, what’s the sizes?

O1. Handle is maple with about 1/2" of spalting, I cut the good part off and saved it for myself. LOA is 8 3/8 with a 4 1/4 blade. Thanks to all those that have put up with my many questions.
 
I think it was Ernie that did the video. I wish I would have daw that video before I did my first knife's plunge lines.
