Here are a couple new Bowie knives I made for a gent and his brother. Both blades are forged from 1084 high carbon steel with a hand-rubbed finish. The S-guard piece has a 12" blade and the Swept-tip piece has an 11" blade. The S-guard is also forged from 1084 with "clam shelled" tips and a satin finish. The throat of the handle has a center of "W" pattern damascus steel sandwiched between two fullered 1084 spacers. The Swept-tip Bowie has a fullered oval guard of 1084 again with a satin finish. The throat on this one has a fullered black micarta in between two pieces of satin finished 1084. Both Bowies have handles are of stabilized A-grade Curly Maple wood with a pair of stainless steel pins to secure everything.
