Very nice job. I am still amazed at how a hammer becomes a hawk. Someday I would love to watch someone forge a hawk of a knife. I guess I should attend one of the hammer in's that I hear so much about.

I find that forging hawks from ballpeen hammers is that one runs out of hammers rather quickly and has to beg Mama to buy some more.:15: Thank you Gentlemen for your most gracious comments.

I have always looked at flea markets and pawn shops for older US made hammer heads. You would be supprised at the cost of a broken hammer or just a hammer head. They avg about $2 each.
